Andrew is a Chartered Accountant (CA) that assists foreign individuals and businesses invest in New Zealand. He has travelled extensively throughout the Asia Pac region as part of this service offering.
Prior to establishing Sayers Advisory Services in 2016, Andrew was the Managing Partner, International Liaison Partner and Tax Partner of a large Australasian accounting firm (3,000 staff). He was also the founder and lead of a multi-jurisdictional Asian Business Team.
Andrew is the Immediate Past President of the Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association, a Hong Kong Government sanctioned organisation tasked with promoting trade and investment between Hong Kong and New Zealand. This role has enabled Andrew to establish strong relationships with both the trade and government sectors in both jurisdictions.
He was also an Advisory Board Member of the New Zealand China Council, a private sector advisory team to the New Zealand Government to retain and build a strong and resilient relation between New Zealand and China.
Andrew is a featured co-author of many international publications including the CCH International Tax Planning Manual, CCH International Master Tax Guide, New Zealand Export and Trade Handbook and the Asia Pacific TaxJournal.
Andrew started his advisory career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their taxation and legal services team. He has represented New Zealand internationally at Karate and holds a commercial pilots licence.
